YAWNERS
Yawners is Elena Nieto's project, created in 2014, which fuses pop punk and indie rock with the energy of the '90s. With three albums and over 140 shows, she has toured Europe, the United States, and festivals like SXSW and Eurosonic. Her sound has crossed borders and has been released by labels in Japan, the United Kingdom, Spain, and the United States.
Elena Nieto - songwriter, vocalist, and high-voltage guitarist - is the driving force behind YAWNERS and a vital figure in Spain’s rock and pop-punk scene, with a growing global fanbase. After winning over audiences with albums like Just Calm Down (La Castaña, 2019) and Duplo (Montgrí, 2022), she returns with her most ambitious project yet: Superbucle (Montgrí, 2025). Comprising eleven tracks, Superbucle unfolds as a cyclical, deeply personal narrative with the everyday as its emotional backbone. It marks a sonic evolution, richer in textures and arrangements, yet stays true to the guitar-driven, '90s essence that runs through her Salamanca roots. YAWNERS’ live show is a high-speed thrill ride, full of sparks, sweat, and clarity in motion.
